Risk
They spread diseases such as leptospirosis and salmonellosis through urine and droppings, contaminate food and gnaw cables, which can start fires.
Where they appear
Storerooms, kitchens, drop ceilings, garbage areas and warehouses.
Rats and mice
Highly adaptable rodents that breed fast. The house mouse is 7.5–10 cm long; rats are considerably bigger.
